How to Use Quizzify for Exams: AI Quiz Maker + Study Tools

Quizzify helps you build deep, long‑lasting knowledge using active recall and spaced repetition. It isn’t magic. you still have to show up and put in work, but it ensures you put effort where it matters most, helping you study as efficiently as possible.

1) Gather your sources

Lecture notes, slides, textbook excerpts
PDFs or DOCX you’ve made while studying

Skim your materials once before you generate quiz cards. This quick pre‑read gives you a rough overview of the material and builds baseline knowledge which the quizzes can reinforce.

You can create quizzes in the Create tab in several ways, but this guide assumes you have some material from your syllabus to learn.

2) Create your quiz cards

Navigate to the "Create" tab.

Click "From Files".

Upload your learning materials from your syllabus and select your preferred card types.

After generation, you’ll see a Review screen where you can edit or delete irrelevant cards.

Quizzify will generate cards that cover your materials as broadly as possible (within the card count limits you choose).

3) Complete your initial review

Great! you've created your cards!

Now it’s time to review.

Go through your newly created cards and answer from memory. Once finished, you’ll better understand your weak areas and can use that to guide your studying.

4) Follow your schedule

Quizzify schedules your next review for each card automatically based on performance using a variant of the SuperMemo‑2 (SM‑2) algorithm. Over time, it gets better at scheduling reviews right before you forget.

Use "Start Reviews" on the Dashboard to start reviewing due cards across all decks. This uses a technique called interleaving, which mixes cards from different topics during review sessions rather than focusing on one subject at a time. It feels harder in the moment, but builds stronger long‑term retention and helps you distinguish between similar concepts more effectively.

5) Use the Tutor (Socratic Method)

If there are cards you consistently fail, spend some time with the Socratic Tutor on that deck. It’s a great way to deepen understanding in your weak areas.
